Swami Pujananda Saraswati
Miami, Florida, US
Bio: This blog in honor to the mystical outpourings of Swami Lalitananda Saraswati in her hours of meditation and samadhi, and it is managed by Swami Pujananda Saraswati, who trained for twenty-two years under Swami Lalitanandaji's watchful, rigorous, yet compassionate disciplines. S Pujananda had the honor of serving as Swami L's assistant at the Yoga Research Foundation's Ashram in Miami, Florida, from 1980 to 2002. Swami L, as she was affectionately called by students at the Ashram, was a remarkable Sannyasi and Yogi. *Swami Lalitanandaji (1925-2013) co-founded the Yoga Research Foundation (USA), the International School of Yoga and Clinic in Loni, India. She also co-founded the a orphanage for girls and abandoned women in New Delhi, and restored the Ananda Bhawan Cultural Center in Bihar, India. Her nobility of character, unwavering attentive dedication to the suffering of those around her, in addition to her creative activities, which began daily at brahmamuhurta (prior to 4:30 am when brahmacharis joined in daily Karma Yoga), manifested in her life long dynamic service to humanity. Her divine presence and divine life in every way, transformed the lives of many. She was endowed with an exquisite talent that touched many through the musical outpourings of her mystical poems. Her visions in samadhi are best expressed in her own compositions published in eleven volumes as "Yoga Mystic Songs for Meditation." In her lyrics, she has left to all yogic aspirants a treasured legacy that covers the full spectrum of the Major Upanishads (Vedanta) as well as Integral Yoga--aka the four Yogas: Bhakti, Karma, Raja and Jnana. Her songs touch every heart as prayers longing for communion with the divine in the form of Goddess, seeking the grace of Goddess Saraswati, Goddess of wisdom and music. She was also soprano, poet, and composer of all songs in the eleven volumes of "Yoga Mystic Songs for Meditation." These inspiring songs are intended to instill in the aspirant a burning aspiration for mukti, Self-Realization, the goal of human existence. Beloved Swami Lalitananda Saraswati entered Mahasamadhi on February of 2013. Jai Durge! Swami Pujananda, who serves as blog administrator, is ever grateful for the unending blessings from Divine Mother Swami L . Pujananda assisted in translating some of her Yoga Mystic Songs for Meditation and continues in service for the upliftment of all sincere aspirants. May all be Enlightened! Om Shanti, Shanti, Shantih! Om Tat Sat!

Om Tat Sat!
Beloved Mother, Swami Lalitanandaji, went to India, to the Ashram of Swami Sivananda from Hrishikesh, in the early 50s perhaps. There she received initiation into Sannyasa, and studied under the guidance of a young sannyasi who taught westerners in English language. The young sannyasi, Bhagavan Swami Jyotirmayananda, was teaching at the Divine Life Society’s Vedanta Forest Academy, and his emphasis was on Yoga Vasistha by Sage Valmiki, Guru of Sri Rama. Swami Jyotirmayananda came to what some call “America” in the early 60s at the urging of devotees from this part of the world, accompanied by Swami Lalitananda, an unassuming and tireless sannyasini, devoted jnani, meditator and Vedantin. Since establishing the Ashram, in Miami, FL, Swamiji has lectured two days a week without interruption, mahavratta, on Yoga Vasistha, published in Six Volumes, and many more Scriptures from India.
Bhagavan Swami Jyotirmayananda illumines aspirants as a thousand suns put together to dispell the darkness of ignorance. As such, he is One without a second.
Swamiji’s Satsang talks are available online on the following topics:
Yoga Vasistha (ongoing every Tuesday and Wednesday)
Fridays and Sundays: Viveka Chudamani, Major Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Patanjali Sutras, Tulsi Ramayana.
Through the Yoga Research Foundation, Bhagavan Swamiji has kept numerous publications, which are transcribed from Satsang *oral tradition* into book forms, and for about forty years the monthly publication of the International Yoga Guide (6 months available free online) has been a beacon light to devotees all over the world without interruption.
Thank you for your question, “what led you swamiji to where you are today?
Swami Lalitananda was too busy to speak of herself, her path… A tribute to Her Mahasamadhi was celebrated in March of 2013. I am not Swami Lalitanandaji. I remain her humble servant. Ashes at Her Lotus Feet. She lived like a storm of Life Divine, and took me with her by storm many times. I was a privileged brat, and am no longer at the Ashram since her stroke in 2002. She lived 11 years like embodiment of Sita, captured by the Ravana of the havoc a stroke wrecks on the nervous system. Devotees and Bhagavan cared for her. SO, her life with Bhagavan is enough for us to update Valmiki Ramayana, in testimony that Rama did not abandon Sita. Sita was lovingly cared by bhaktas, every day of her stay in the lanka of neurological damage, until Mahasamadhi. Before 2002, She embodied Tridevi, a most dynamic force, which continues inspiring us through the multiple projects and guiding principles of the mighty organization for Divine transformation the Yoga Research Foundation.
Yours in Goddess,
Swami Pujananda Saraswati
